SOPHIE BAHARI BOMEISLER
Sophie Bahari Bomeisler graduated from the University of Surrey in England in 2021 with a Bachelors (Honors) in the Arts. She has been involved with teaching Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain classes alongside her father, Brian Bomeisler, for the last 6 years, both assistant teaching, and helping to move the course online during the pandemic. She is Dr Betty Edwards’ eldest granddaughter.
Sophie was born and raised in New York City, growing up amidst her father’s teaching of the DRSB classes in their family loft and studio in Soho. Since graduating, Sophie has continued to assistant teach online with Brian. She has been involved in various aspects of the art world: working with Christie’s London during their biannual auctions as well as freelancing in graphic design for private companies and independent films and theater.
Sophie continues to expand her exposure and knowledge of Art; most recently, since moving back to NYC, completing courses at the New York Academy of Art from reputable experts of various mediums and techniques, and Sotheby’s NYC for art history and the business of art.
